In that case I think you achieved what you were trying to get the design at. It's simple but still it's nice . I would try to make it stick out a bit more but still trying to keep it as simple as possible beacuse that is what you are trying to do is to keep it simple.

Try to make it look like it's jumping out at the viewer, if you get what I mean.
