Actually Firefox loaded a lot faster than any other browser for me...but the thing is, if you're on a file system that's Windows based like FAT or NTFS, there will be fragmentation of data.....so, programs you use more often will inevitably load faster.
How much RAM and CPU cycles does Opera consume in comaprison to Firefox? I haven't installed Opera on Linux yet but I have used it for a very long time on Windows, in the past.
