What I normally do its have my profile page open. This page shows you all the threads you have posted in with recent replies and also shows you the last poster.

If you are not seeing any threads displayed on that page you will need to go into your options and set your thread subscription to no email notification. Then each new post you make you will be subscribing to that thread.
