The only problem I have with sitepoint is the fact they've decided to introduce this fee after nearly 10 years of operation, they tested it out on domains and realised people were actually paying it so decided to use it for their entire marketplace.

It hasn't been put in place to help the moderators out, it hasn't been put in place to provide a "better service" as they keep saying, it's been put in place to generate more money, because at the end of the day that's all they care about.
