the 99% uptime can only be a monetary guarantee of some type. That kind of thing is generally pretty much worthless once you thing that a 3 days downtime would result in a mere $10 or $20 refund. For anyone with a serious site, that kind of sum is nothing compared to the harm done by the prolonged downtime.
