A website like this surely needs to load fast, so cut down on the graphics use. For example you don't need that drop shadow in the nav, do you?

I guess most of "those" problems will be fixed when coded.
Also the font and aliasing, a simple 12-14px arial / verdana should be fine.

Really, when going to a fact site like that, I don't think I will care of "who submitted it", I just want quick funny facts.

I don't really like the red background for all the stuff, and the fact that it is rounded. What about simply a white / #DDD background, with a border of #CCC or #999.

I don't really like that tilted logo, or the font used.
"Where strange things happen daily" is too hard too read, too.

The big banner with "view gallery or forum" just seems unnecesary. What is it?

Also, the dropshadow on the header and all the boxes doesn't look to good, maybe remove it?
