A year ago I bought a new camera off ebay and I got the camera and a 1gig card for the same as the retail stores were selling just the camera for. I never had any problems, but some do. Just check out the sellers feedback and email them questions about the product, this can give you some insight on how they are and maybe it will make you feel more comfortable buying from them on ebay. It is fun, and you can save a ton of cash, but it can be addictive, so be careful
