Cliques at WHT and sitepoint?

How so? I get the impression when I visit those forums that nobody knows anybody, haha...I hardly ever see anybody acknowledge another member there...but I could just be missing it, as I'm not exactly on the lookout.

Typically, I associate cliques with small to medium-sized communities...in which there is that core, very active group...with new guys spread around on the outside
