Your client (person you did the job for) should not have to pay your sub-contractor, it's your resposibility.

This is basic professionalism guys. Unless stated otherwise in contracts you always pay the original contractor. I am talking about ANY type of job here, building, plumbing, computer repairs, mechanical engineering etc...
