Well it's set it like a historic fantasy world. (kinda like LOTR) and it's about this lad who stumbles across an egg when hunting.

the egg hatches and it's a dragon, as the dragon grows he has to keep it in hiding and they form an close relationship where they can actually communicate with eachother via their minds.


that's only the begginning, the plot advances from then on and it's a great read. it's about 500ish pages, if i remember correctly.
