Yes, the Ipod Touch has been confirmed, but its only available online at the moment. I just called 2 retailers including an apple store in the mall, and they both said it wont be in stores until later this month.

Seeing how on the apple site it says products won't be shipped until the 28th of September, I assume that it will be released around that time.
