Keyword density. Keyword research is still beneficial to know what your potential visitors are typing in as a search term, so web content should have those targeted keywords in the copy once, but I do believe the days of the keyword in the title, in the first paragraph, the last paragraph and once throughout are gone (or any variation to that). Get the keyword in the content and naturally allow related terms that search engines will deem favourable. As a freelance writer that has written a good amount of web content with those stringent keyword density parameters, I felt that it was just the wrong way to go about creating informed content. I have read/heard from various sources that his type of writing is definitely no longer helpful for organic search results.
