I would recommend learning C# (.NET), one of my brothers is coding for mobile devices and raking the money in from consulting (
www.opennetcf.com). Then again, he has spent years being the "geek" and coding through the night to get to this stage.
Some people are natural coders, others aren't. I would advise not even bothering getting into the industry unless you really have a passion for it, otherwise where's the job satisfaction going to come from?
