  Old  future of coders

i'm not sure about your guys' geographical area, but here, in KY, the web design jobs are very scarce, almost non existant. I went to college and recieved a BBA degree with a Computer Information Systems major which only covered the very basics of HTML, JS, and XML in 1 class. I know that we don't have many jobs here, but i hate they downsized the cirriculum to reflect this trend. Web design is my only true talent and skill in the information technology field, it's just painful to see lack of jobs out there for us coders.

Move outside of Kentucky. Just over the border in Cincinnati (where I'm originally from) there are countless opportunities for freelancing and steady jobs.

There are jobs everywhere, but they just don't fall down in your lap. I currently work on two rather large projects here in Sweden and if I wanted to I could easily find myself a huge amount of smaller projects. You just have to start calling around.

Also, remember that the web is not local and neither should you. Where you live is only one place, but where you work is the World Wide Web and it's not restricted by mere physical laws.

(Well, in a sense it is since servers take up space and data transmitting times are dependant on distance, but it sounded so nice and epic so I'll just ignore the obvious for now.)
