Old  I'm haveing trouble finding documentation [SOLVED]

I'm using the codeigniter framework and it has a built in database class that I'm pretty sure I recognize as an opensource thing that I can't remember the name of. And I'm pretty rusty with MySQL queries as is.

Anyway, i need to do a join but can't find how it's suppose to be done using that class. it's not in the codeigniter userguide. Or if it is I can't seem to find it.

Does anyone either know what i should be searching for or how to do a simple one to one join (user.id to user_profile.id)?
