Not sure what your previous logo looked like, so I cant say if it's an improvment or not.
However, this logo is pretty plain jane imo. I wouldn't be supprised if a few people had a very similar logo.

I like it very muxh, logos aren't to be decked out with photoshop effects..like mos of the ones made by people on yaxay etc...
