dreaded oscommerce
Hey guys. I'm thinking of turning my html page in which I sell items into oscommerce. The thing is I dont know any php, only html. Must I have a good knowledge of php to edit oscommerce? and can it be done in dreamweaver?
(notepad is my main tool, plan on getting dreamweaver soon)

Well, there are much better/easier to use options out there...
VirtueMart on Joomla
Shopify
PHPshop
But yes, you can use osCommerce without php knowledge, but good luck customizing it.

osCommerce is still the best choice in my opinion, just because of its customs, amd modules.

Have you tried VirtueMart? Works a charm.
osCommerce is just so rigged, imo.

Can't say that I have...
I've worked with oscommerce a few times, and each time it was actually rather fun skinning it and building the store.

I just really liked it because there was no much documentation on it, as well as the custom modules. Nice having everything sitting in front of you when you need it, or have a problem.
Seemed like every problem I had happen was easily fixed by searching for the problem in the documentation.(Since it's so heavily used, there is always bound to be someone with the same problem.)
