I like it, it feels good to me. The only thing i think it might even make it better is to use that color thats just below the header as background for the body. I didnt really like that grey, and parhaps that light blue like color might look a lot better. But ofcourse that just an idea and personal preference

I like it, i agree with the comments about the bg of the body. Also, the fake cards look jagged around the edges.

Some suggestions:

* Change the body bg much lighter.
* Change the logo icon, mabye a fan of cards behind a stack of chips.. I just dont see how 2 1's identifies poker as well as a pile of colored chips anda fan of face cards. (Mabye just aces instead of 1s?)
* Try integrating the banner ad into the right of the header as opposed to underneath it, or atleast make that curve that contains it smoother.
* left side of header = vectorish, right side = photos, try maintaining a style.
* I dont like the menu headers, the way they pop out farther and make a sharp edge. :-/
* Mabye use a color scheme derived from poker chips? red, green, blue? Or at least use more than just blue.

Sounds harsh, but besides all that I like it and this can definetly go somewhere.

I like the menu on the left hand side but i think the content area could use some work. It needs to have a bit more definition to it, at the moment it just seems a little to standard and not organised aswell as it could be. Work on that a bit and i think you'll have a pretty ok design here

To be honest with you, im not a huge fan. I don't feel you have captured the 'royal' gambling/casino feel at all. If it wasn't for the banner/logo I wouldn't think it was going to be used for a poker website at all.

The curves around the banner are horrible and are very jagged, that needs fixing.

The navigation down the side is nice and pratical and the extended category bars is also a nice little touch.

The main content area isn't very appealing, the gray background is dull and boring and really doesn't make me want to read the text at all.

Lewis.
