How Much Money???
I have just signed up and applied for several freelance jobs via a website I paid to be a part of. I do medical transcription, but accept the wage offered by the dr....for freelancing, how do any of you determine your billing rate? By word, page, ??? PLEASE HELP and I look forward to getting to "know" some of you!

I charge a pretty steady $25/hour. I only do web design though... I would tell the guy what you want to charge and if he doesn't accept that, it sucks to be him.
my $0.02

Hmm I don't know if you are a writer, a designer or a coder. But since you said per word I'm gonna assume you're a writer. I always work out quotes. Just remember to get everything in there.
lets say 2 hours research for something.
then the time to write or whatever you do
Then everything else: light, paper, coffee etc. (you decide how much you put in this)
Then work out how much you need per hour and how many hours it'll take you.
