Cpanel vs. v-deck??
I am researching hosting options before I jump into the reseller game and I need some info from as many who can help me. I have a two part question here...
1) Which control panel does your hosting company use? (See poll)
2) If you have experienced both V-deck and Cpanel, which one do you prefer and why?

All the hosts I've used/seen so far in my life were using cPanel, never heard of v-deck.

One of my hosts uses a custom developed control panel. My second host uses cPanel.
I like cPanel, it is a very powerful cp. However, there are two things I don't like about it. Firstly, I experienced an annoying bug in the file manager ( http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1863). Secondly, I think the interface is a bit outdated and cluttered.

i use cpanel accross both my servers.
but i am developing my own addon to cpanel which will provide users with support, sales and tutorials to get the most from there web site. so far it connects to the login database, collects bandwidth usage and a little bit more but its very early in the development stages at the moment.

I've used cpanel before and wasn't that impressed with it, considering all the praise it gets. I've been a long time user of ensim which is probably my prefered control panel of choice

Last time I checked, only iPowerWeb was using vDeck. I may be wrong about that though. Ive always used CPanel, and I have found no fault with it. Also, if you are going to be reselling, its best to go with the control panel that your prospective customers would be most familiar with, and of the two you mentioned, that would most definately be CPanel.
