Graphic Design/Web Design Colleges
I'm having some trouble looking for a college. I may do engineering, and I may do graphic design/web design. What are some of the best colleges that specialize in graphic/web design? I've found a lot of them, but I don't know if they are any good or not.

Hmm, thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm trying to look for a place that offers a solid education. I don't really want to go to a small technical school kinda deal, however Full Sail sounds awesome. Does anybody have anymore suggestions? Or does anybody have a degree in web/graphic design that can share some experiences in college?

All I can tell you is that it really doesn't matter where you get your degree as long as you learn the basics. Employers, unless you're looking at getting into a certain industry, don't really care where you went to school or what your grades were. They care about what you know and what you bring to the table.
Most people in the field will tell you that they learned few things in school to prepare them for the real world. Most of the time, designers learn on the job, acquiring the necessary skills to nail down that dream job. Heck, it took me 10 years to get to where I am now, and I love my job and the people I work with.
I liken it to this. Nobody ever askes a lawyer where they got their degree, they're a lawyer after all. Employers want somebody that knows what they're doing far above where they got their degree.

As Conrad mentioned, RISD. Or VanArts up in Canada, that is supposed to be excellent.
VanArts: http://www.vanarts.com/ (Although their site seems down for the moment)

What do you mean by a solid education? a solid education in typical stuff like english, math, ect...? or a solid education in graphic arts? IMO you do not want to go to normal college and just major in graphic deisgn, their programs are not nearly as good as a school focused around art. If you are serious about your career and know that this is what you want to do go to an art school. Do alot of research on different schools and figure out whats best for you.

I want to go to the best school possible that focuses on graphic arts, however I don't want to miss the college lifestyle. Also, my parents are going to make me go to a 4 year, because they think 2 year places provide a less quality education or something like that.
