working with the pen tool

hello i was working with the pen tool creating shape layers and i couldnt find out how to edit the shape after i close the path. I can transform it but not edit it.

Is there a way to do this?

If you're talking about in Photoshop, there is a white arrow below the pen tool that you can use to edit points/curves etc. Also with the pen tool itself you can adjust by pressing different keys, such as cmd, ctrl, etc.

i mean illustrator, which wont let me edit after i close the path.

click on the white arrow tool in the top left of the toolbar or press A and you should be able to select it again.
