I think
it's time for big zee to get some more people to join here, because this forum is going down hill.
Maybe he should hold a contest
send out a newsletter every month
talkfreelance blog
what do you think

Agreed, the topics are bland. I only come for the general discusion. Marketplace is selling really bad stuff so i don't wanna spend my money. Lack of interesting web discussion. But when there is people will flame or try to prove them wrong in an inappropiate way, if people are having a dicussion someone will come in and flame. We just need a greater variety of membes and discussion, and a new admin who can dedicate some time to this place.

Yes,
I think this forum needs a big button to BLOG, and on the blog, some experts needs to write articles and stuff
write tutorials orso..
or maybe Big Zee should hold a contest, giving away something to do with freelancing.. like some sitepoint books, some gadget, ipod touch, orso..
advertise on some other major forums..
this forum needs some boost.
and maybe improve the forum structure. Merge / delete some frums/subforums

I hate to put this place down, but its just not going to happen - nothing ever does and we've gone backwards since the takeover (no offense).

As well as that..
This forum would be a much happier place if people weren't so cynical.
If you don't like the current state of the forum, go elsewhere.

Hi guys, I just joined yesterday and this is not what I was expecting to read just yet (no problem with that if this is how you feel)...
Still I intend to read/write some more but obviously one prefers to be where other members are happy being.

I think the key to making this place live up to its potential is an active administrator. I think since I've joined I've seen 'Big Zee' post maybe 10-20 times and not all over the forums, just pretty much in the places he knows he can't avoid not posting in. Regardless of what might happen, TFL is basically running itself. A few mods do the best of their ability, but I mean aside from the skin upgrade...the forums haven't changed. To be honest, I don't see how the numbers keep growing when for the most part, nothing new but arguments and spammers are contributing.
I mean hey, a blog would be nice. Not even a blog, just some simple articles, I mean some sort of contest to become member of the month (this stopped why?), I mean theres no real incentive for people to make TFL a better place.
Thats just my 2 cents worth, I'm certainly not saying it applies to all the members, but I mean hey, it is what it is.

I agree this place isn't close to its potential. I think members who might want those extra features do probably have the knowledge to create their own place, that could be better then this place
