Helloooo....
Hows everyone doin' today?

Lol, anyways.. Here I have a simple little template I designed for the unveiling of lifeinrain.com, my newest portfolio project. At the moment I wanted to keep the design very simple just to display a few of my most recent works.

I understand the design doesnt "exactly" fit the name, although I wanted to go with a purple theme, and this just happened to work out. Just posting it up for some C&C and what not, thought you guys just might want to see it.. for kicks and giggles..

Coming Soon

I think the purple theme is fine, you just have to much empty space on the top and bottom. Its more than you need, IMO.

Well that was the point, the open spaces are just.. the background.. There will just be the white bar across.. Simple, and minimalistic.. Representing my style quite well..

Hey Bexil, It looks pleasent but it really doesn't suit the theme as you say, orange/blue and then a background colour that really doesn't go hand in hand. This particular type of text effect is really over done imo and should be left alone.

However the design isn't that bad, it's just nothing to go "wow" over. I would look around for a more original font/effect that suits the name better, try and build your own brand rather than sticking to text that means nothing. Work on a nice colour set and stick to them, the reds, oranges, blues aren't working.

I agree mostly with Robson on this one. Although i don't think the effect is over done; I like it the way it is, just the colors need tweaking.

I'm not liking this as much as your previous work. It seems too blank and uninteresting. Perhaps do some (or buy some) vector plants and clouds and make a scene on the left side using the white bar as a canvas.

I see what you guys are saying.. I might see if I can add some things in and tweak some colors and what not.. I personally love the layout, I guess its just presentation that I need to work on.

Thanks for the comments.
