Old  Had my domain refunded...dont know why

Ok, so i bought MSWindows07.info last night and quickly set the site up on wordpress.

At the time of buying the domain, almost every extension was taken for both MSWindows07 and Windows07, but i wake up this morning to find that i have a refund from GoDaddy for the domain and that my site is no longer up. Then to check if it was just me, I had a look to see if the other domains were still unavailable....to my surprise it looks as if all of these domains have been returned.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

I thought that, but i would have expected GoDaddy to explain that in the refund if it had been.

No, Godaddy always makes this mistake. It says a domain is available and it isn't so they refund you and take the domains back to their rightful owners.

There's something wrong with their site.

Aren't they afraid to ruin their reputation in the world of domain registration?

As far as i'm concerned godaddy have got an awful reputation in the domaining world. People (including myself) hate the user cp and the way the force so many offers upon you when you just want to register a domain. They also make you jump through numerous hoops if you want to transfer domains away from godaddy.

My advice would be to stay clear, pay the extra few cents and use namecheap.com.
