Old  Can't get any advertisers for UK TV forum - Good enough stats

Hey,
I have a UK TV forum and I am having a problem getting advertisers.

I have a pretty good CTR so I thought adsense would be good, but they are giving very low payouts for the ads and a lot are unrelated to the site.

I get around 500 uniques a day and have ~1100 registered members but I am making next to nothing from the forum.

To be honest this forum is a personal one, I don't have it for profit.
Any money made is going to go back into it but I am spending a lot more than I am making on it now.

I have a very big update coming this week or the start of next week that will really improve it, but what I need is advertisers to cover my costs and even give me some extra to put back into improving the site or advertising it.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can do?

It's not like here on Tf where most members are webmasters, I think you need to get to advertisers personally. Maybe write a formal email to some related, not competetive, websites. Wait and see, I am almost sure they will come

Also maybe advertise it in the advertising forum on www.sitepoint.com?

Good luck!

Advertise your advertising space here on SitePoint and on WebHostingTalk you'll find some people if you start off with "special rates"

If push comes yo shove you could try and sign up with an advertising agency such as fastclick although you won't be able to use fastclick as they don't allow sites that are mainly forums so you'd have to search for one that will (maybe someone here knows one?)

Also maybe advertise it in the advertising forum on www.sitepoint.com?
Sitepoint isn't really related to uk tv, I wouldn't bother there.

Search for related forums/sites and directly contact the administators, offer them a special deal, say you have left over impressions or something for this month and would like to get rid of them.

Just let people know about your services, but let people who might be interested know. I very much doubt a hosting or design company would pay money to advertise on a tv forum.

Have you tried www.affiliatefuture.co.uk - also www.amazon.co.uk
I have signup with with loads of sites, but I am not completely happy with all of them.
http://www.affiliatewindow.com/ is also a site with some good programmes.

Have you tried Chitika? I heard it's pretty good, am awaiting for my approval at the moment.
