  Old  Frames in Dreamweaver

I'm putting this out as a general question to those with more DreamWeaver experience than myself:

Does anyone know if it is possible to rotate Frames in Dreamweaver? I usually work in design mode, where you can "draw" the frame you need.

So far, I've done a work-around by creating any images I might angled pre-rotated, so to speak. But that's a limited fix.

Anyone know or have any thoughts?

What do you mean by 'rotate frames'?

Rotate, as in the same way that one could rotate a text or image frame in InDesign.

For example: I have a GIF of a polaroid picture, let's say. I want that GIF to appear on the website at a 45 degree angle. Instead of having to create a new GIF image of said polaroid at a 45 degree angle and add it to my square frame, is there any way to tell the Frame in dreamweaver to appear on the page at a 45 degree angle?

D'oh! I meant to say "Layers" not Frames. That may be where some of the confusion is coming from. My apologies, I work with InDesign all day, and I had "Frames" on the brain. >.<

You simply can't, web design is quite different than print design, you have way less "freedom" on websites. If you want your image to be rotated, you need to rotate it before adding it to the website in Photoshop for example. The image needs to be a non-rotated rectangle. I'm not sure I explained correctly so I made a picture to explain it:

And even in that case, it can be complicated to put the image in the text as shown if you don't know CSS.

Edit: I just saw you mentionned that in your post, but it's not a fix, it's the only way.

Thank you, flez. I wasn't sure whether or not I was missing something that might have been buried in Dreamweaver commands somewhere. It's good to know for certain.

I'm familiar enough with HTML and CSS to get the basic idea of why it might not be possible, but not familiar enough to have realized that it was impossible, (excepting pre-rotating the image).

If you want to progress as a frontend coder, I'd highly recommend staying well away from Dreamweaver's 'design view'.

LoL, I think I need to progress as a "good coder" before I can move my way to "front end". Since coming to the forums, I've realized just how long it's been since I've coded anything.

Surprisingly, I'm finding that I missed it, and that my skills are *very* rusty. I'll be burying myself in tutorials and digging out my old books, and likely a few new ones too.
