my music / ep coming soon
i've been into music all my life. parents met in a band, bla bla bla. fast forward 16 years later and i live in nashville. i'm surrounded by it every day.
anyway, i'm finally getting around to writting some stuff of my own. i'm in a band, but its completely different than the kind of stuff i'm writting. im planning on releasing an ep that you can download on myspace/purevolume/virb/everywhereelse for free under the name 'left of holsten'. im starting to get some material down, and i set up a myspace with a clip without vocals on it for everyone to hear. you can listen to it by clicking the picture
keep in mind it's pretty chill. thinks sigur ros meets the shins, so im not sure how many of you guys will be into it, but i figure it's worth sharing here since i see a bunch of people posting stuff they've recorded
add it, give it a listen, tell a friend

Wow thats amazing. And your only 16 man! Thats crazy. I love it. It would be cool if you had some lyrics. Why dont you send some samples to some cd company's?

yeah, it is intentional. sampled an old vinyl spinning and put it in there. cuts out when the main stuff comes in, put it in and out a couple more times. can see how it might throw some people off though

thanks bro. i'm working on lyrics and will probably get around to recording vox after i finish the actual music up. dont know if i'll be doing much of the singing, have some friends around town who would probably be up for it.
not much to send any one right now, and i'm not worried about getting anything published or anything. just making some music for people to chill to. never know who will hear it in town though and what it could lead to, i have a pretty open mind about it

Yeah, lose the crackle when the guitar starts, it's really annoying :P
Other than that, it sounds really good

That's awesome...not just saying that, that's like as good as any other top bands I hear, with some decent lyrics you're onto something, the cracking though, lose it.
