  Old  Standards Compliant Cart

I just found this today, it looks quite promising. Its a flat-file cart, written in php and valid html. Rare to find a valid cart eh?
http://www.opensolution.org/?p=Quick.Cart

Anyways, I'm considering it for a small shop on a client site. If I go with it I'll let you all know how it pans out.

Regards.

Would love to know how you get on with either cart package. Most of the ones I've used have been one big pain.

Cool. I'm starting up with http://www.opensolution.org/?p=Quick. Cart for a upper mid level site. It'll be a few weeks, but I'll try and remember to get back to this thread.

Try virtuemart, beware, very hard to customize sometimes.

I'm developing it now too Blue Ire, hows yours coming along?

I'm finding it really simple to add products and stuff, customising it is fairly simple too

Julian, are you talking about Quick.Cart? As customization goes, I would have to disagree with you. Their templating system is far more complicated than any other open-source program I have used. Usually, as with WordPress for example, their templates are fairly straightfoward, but after having a look at Quick.Cart's, I got utterly confused. However, yes, it is a great program and very well written.

Have you tryed Virtuemart? It's easy to edit the templates but when you are trying to edit the store it's another story

You shoul try it, it's a very complete cart system.
