search engine?

I am in search of a search engine that I can put into a site I am developing.

I currently have this http://www.freelanceshack.net/search/search.php

But it is not great because the code generates the search box and submit button. It isnt in the html. Because of this it is very hard (in my opinion) to link the search code to a search box on one of my pages because it would generate a search box within another.

So if you know of any free search engines that can be built into a website please post it. This would be a great help.

I just need a simple search box to fancy things like advance search and stuff just a box that when you click a custom submit button or press enter it shows the results
