  Old  Ipod Video Help Needed!

Hey guys, i know theres loads of threads on ipod video, but i cant find what im looking for in them! -I have looked

Ok i got my, black 60gb video ipod, for xmas, stunning piece of kit! I have some video's from my pc on all good and fine! but...! How do you put a DVD/movie on there? ive looked at many sites, cant really find simple enough guide, i know im being really dumb here!

So if anyone has the time, or the good grace to give me a very simple, step through guide of loading a movie from a DVD to Ipod thank you

Also im running windows, and have videora (cant understand that, i assume you need a DVD decryter first) Also, if possible, i'd like to use free programs, if needed

Cheers in advance!

I have dvdshrink
and Slysoft: anydvd

hopefully that helps...
dvdshrink is the one that actually rips the dvd into 1 file, then you can compress it with videora.

Google for a dvd ripping program

Then you need to rip the dvd to a file type like avi or mpeg

You then need to use psp video 9 to convert it to windows size 320*something. The file type has to be mpeg

After that put it in your library and you are done.

It's pretty simple. Go to Download.com and look for any DVD-Rippnig software. Rip your DVD's so you have them in AVI format (most likely).

Then, go to http://www.psp411.com/list/software/..._Software.html
That's a list of PSP video converters. Any will do really, since both the PSP and the Video iPod use the same MPEG format. However, while conversion, remember to set the resolution as 320x240 - that's the video iPod's native video resolution.

And then just load it up onto iTunes. As simple as that.

Just out of curiousity, how long does your battery hold out for when watching movies?

I remember reading that the average life for while watching videos is around 2.5 hours.

It was a review saying how though its a big let down as a video player, Apple aimed it to be an MP3 player with video, not a video player. It was pretty interesting, but... yeah.
