Image Hosting promotion.

Hey,

I currently run a free image hosting site, that earns about $1/day and only gets ~100uniques/day . I was curious to know what type of marketing techniques you guys would suggest using for my site? (The site is http://www.boostimg.com)

First off, things I've tried. I've tried posting in graphics forums and putting the site in my sig, etc, but that isn't working out too well, and is actually leading to a DECLINE in visitors (???????) I'm pretty darn consistent too, so if my thread goes down a page, you'd be sure to see my thread up on the main page within seconds.

I've done a little text link advertising here and there, nothing much though. I'm going to get into the myspace scene in a bit, I just need to build up my account.

I'm looking to make somewhere around $xx from this (hopefully), which doesn't seem too farfetched, since I've owned image hosting sites in the past that have significantly better turnouts.

Besides the things I've mentioned, do you guys have any suggestions?

I have 1 tip for you, lay out your content better on the homepage. Currently it looks a bit cluttered. Good luck with the promotion and all!

Space up, everything is cramped up against each other. Perhaps get more content up the mainpage, a little description maybe?

And thanks for that Aros. I will take that into consideration.

Mess around with keywords, your visitors are already visiting an image hosting site, so why would they want more adverts about the same thing?
