SEO trials
I am wondering if anyone has been trialling SEO techniques and how their trials are going?
This is in response to my trial: New Zealands Best Web Designer
Some of you said you were going to implement some of my ideas and I was wondering how it was going for you?
If you are testing your own ideas I am also interested in your results, and the methods you are using to achieve them.
I would also like to know how much people charge for SEO, if any of you have an idea of this I would love to know

Julian I didn't know a damn thing about SEO until this month. I followed your little trial and implemented all of your suggestions aside from the linking tips since I just haven't gotten around to that yet. Now I'm top 5 results for ALL of my keywords for my Deadliest Catch site on Google (and #1 for all of them on MSN).
www.deadliestcatch.net
It went from $1 a day to $10 a day (not counting DVD sales which there have been a couple). Not much, but still considering I only put about 30 minutes of work into it, I think that's not bad.
Thanks for sharing your SEO knowledge, Julian. It really helped me.

Fantastic feros, that's a 100% increase in revenue for only 30 minutes work! What a great success story, and it will keep getting better over time too! well done

Julian, what sort of links do you have pointing towards that page? High PR or relevant links?
The reason I ask is because after reading something Matt Cutts posted, I think the latter might be more important to SEO. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

No, you can check the following:
http://www.google.com/search?hs=1Fd&...ml&btnG=Search
High PR AND relative links are important, but I have not done ANY of this for this page. I haven't submitted it to any directories or anything. The site got listed naturally through Talkfreelance links and my own site links. I submitted it to the big three SE's several times as well (3 times for each SE)

I added some trailing to the end of the title of nerdpoint.com
We'll see if it does anything

Where is this 'trailing' article? I'm interested.
