 XP Explorer crash -no idea what to do.
Ok basically everytime i try and create a new folder in explorer, or try and copy and paste (right click), or even use the menu bar (file, edit, help etc) the explorer crashes!
Ive used crude methods around this, i.e. drag and drop, and duplicating folders and renaming them, buts its p****** me off so bad, ive just got to fix it now!
Im dont want to do a system restore, nor do I want to reinstall xp or something crazy.
Theres got to be a fix somehow! Has anybody had this problem? Any advice?

Take the error message and feed it into google and see what other's say about the problem. That is the easiest way to solve most computer related errors.

I had a quick look, but I only found one that looked the same problem. It was a link to a forum, and no-one replied, so he solved it by using a new explorer! I dont think its the way to go...:S

It could be a plethora of things. Have you got a copy of Hijackthis to see if something dodgy has attached itself to Explorer?
If you haven't used it before Hijackthis is just about the best software in the world to solve Explorer problems

Only thing I recongize that can be replaced with a virus is O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [preload] C:\Windows\RUNXMLPL.exe
I'll check back later when I have a chance to fully read the log.
I suggest you compair logs with websites that show similar problems as you for a start.
