Hmmmmmm, not a bad idea. The disign is alright, everything's a bit big though. If you made the site fully flash with Adobe Flex it would be sooooo sweet.
Keep us posted on any updates

I hate over done flash sites, and forwhat it is, flex isn't really needed. The final version is fine, you'll realise when you see it.

Sounds like a nice idea. Not sure about the domain or the design though. It looks a bit too "sweet" and over saturated.

+ The fact that if i were to look at your site, I would need to wait for my eyes to readjust before I was to read anything else.

Hahahaha... I looked at the image before finishing to read your post, and I was already planning to bash it for looking like a cliche 2.0 site... But then you surprised me.
Web 2.0 aside, I don't know what your site is about nor what it's for. Hopefully you'll have an informative introduction paragraph under the [shiny] logo.

The rounded fonts look childish, and the gradients lack subtlety. Heh, it might look nice, however, when the content is introduced.

Can't say i'm a big fan of it to be honest, you've tried to pull of a 'web 2.0 style' but haven't really, it just looks untidy / messy at the moment, also, everything just seems to big.
