Old  Why would you get sued for...

having any domain that looks similar to any huge company's domain( ex. google.com and googlle.com) as long as you say that you are not affliated with them or have any partnership with them?
I have seen many posts here at TF that said you will get sued.. you will get sued?

It can be viewed as an infringement of their intellectual property. Generally speaking, your site will never be popular enough to warrant them taking legal action.

I think you could be taken to court if you infringe on others trademarks (Not 100% sure though). Laws may be differ from country to country for this.

It's not their fault, if a company owns the trademarks to a particular name then it's theirs. If you register their name then they have every right to take it from you. If you register a name similar, such as gooogle.com they also have every right, it's an infringement on their trademark.

The fact is, people with domains like gooogle.com are trying to profit of them, if they run a similar service then it can also look like they're trying to use their brand name to steal business.

You can get sued for anything. They have copyrights to their name, and they can sue you for that.

I use business entities for each of my doings in the business world. I'd like to see them touch me with a 10 foot poll.

I remember reading a post in another fourm about this person who bought the domain godaddygo.com, within a few days godaddy.com contacted him saying they would take legal action if he continued to use it.

You can now see doing a whois on that domain www.whois.sc/godaddygo.com that godaddy now owns the domain, if you mess with the big guys, they usually win
