  Old  Wordpress built-in functions

I'm making a wordpress plugin for a client. Basically, what it'll do is replace the current category menu with a collapsable/expandable category menu.

I want to use get_permalink() and get_category_link() but I'm getting fatal errors. I would like to know the rules of "How to use wordpress built-in functions in plugins?".

I can easily use them with theme files but not with the damn plugin.

Because I'm not prepared to use JS and I don't have time.

And please don't respond with irrelevant information if you don't have a solution. FOR THE SAKE OF THE QUALITY!

I have to post this.

He WAS suggesting a solution. You just don't want to use it. Don't respond like that or next time you might not receive an answer at all.

Best Regards,
Patrick
