Old  Choosing Between Media Temple and Eleven2

Okay well I am having a hard time deciding on which host is better...Eleven2 or Media Temple. They both seem to be well known and reliable hosts. Although to me MediaTemple seems to be more well known and even hosts some big companies.

Pretty soon I am going to start doing freelance work for businesses and I will be offering them web hosting space if they are not already hosted. So I am looking at the Eleven2 Reseller packages and the MediaTemple Dedicated-Virtual.

www.mediatemple.net

www.eleven2.com

Has anyone ever used these hosts? Can someone give me some info to help decide?

Thanks, I love you.

I have never used them. Why have you decided to use them?

I have just been looking at different web hosting companies and Ive narrowed it down to those two. I want a company that is reliable and is not going to just disappear one day.

I would probably say mediatemple.net is more convincing.

But honestly I never used either.

Now Im kind of swaying towards media temple even though eleven2 is cheaper.

I was kind of hoping to hear from some people that have had experience with any of them, guess not

I'm sure that narrowing down your search to two companies only has never been a successful policy.
There are excellent deals considerably cheaper and offering the same level of quality such as from ***********.com with offers both for personal and commercial web sites.

I had a terrible time with eleven2.

Go with MT or asmallorange.

mediatemple is terrible. stay away from them. Servers are slow, major issues with their mysql.

just check webhosting forums for hundreds of people complaining about them these days. They are not what they used to be.

I've heard great things about media temple. I also have heard about them sending care packages to people that have experienced issues lol.

I've been with (mt) for quite a while now, using different services they offer, and I've had no issues with them.

I've also found that many of the people that complain are the same people that don't know enough about web hosting to warrant having a virtual dedicated or fully dedicated server. Then they blame their lack of knowledge on the hosting company because they're too stubborn just to get a shared hosting plan like they should have purchased in the first place.
