  Old  Wiki domains

More than "daddy" (which is discussed in another thread here), "wiki" is one of the most popular words when it comes to creating a domain name. I notice most domains with the word "wiki" are taken already. Wikihow, Wikianswer, Wikigreen, Wikianimal, Wikiplant, you name it.

This is what happens when any one word gets famous. There are many more examples. "Tube" is one such - a video site and it wants the words 'tube' in it.

I wish for once I could predict the next famous word and register a bunch of names and then be able to flip then and turn them for a profit. By the way is .xxx really going to exist?

Yes the brand name always work for you as there are multiple ways where. If it got famous on internet there are plenty of ways where you can get it promoted and market your product to work on.

I wish I could also. I heard that someone registered iPhone (or something similar to it) as a domain name and Apple spent a lot of money purchasing the domain.

I'm not surprised. Wikis are so common now thanks to the success of wikipedia that having a domain associated with wikis (even if there's no tie to the official Wikimedia Foundation) will get you lots of viewers.

.xxx has been talked about for years, and unless your a porn giant, your not going to be able to act fast enough to get the good ones.

It has yet to happen, and I do not see it happening anytime soon.
But you never know.

I remember reading somewhere that .xxx TLD will be available in January this year. I just checked Namecheap and Go Daddy but none of them have sold it.
