Tips for business cards design
Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if you guys have any tips for designing a business card. I want to make one for myself, but I feel like I don't know enough, so I'm asking for help.
Thanks in advance!

Business cards eh.
Some things you should consider.
- Minimum Graphics and colours, as these things have to be printed.
- Use of Good, Legible Fonts.
- Standard Sized 3x2 Inches max.
For others.
Just keep it creative. Might incoorporate your company's logo image in the background.

Is there anything else I should know? I mean, I do know that I need to make the resolution 320 or 300 ppi, but is there anything specific to business cards? Like leaving some space for the cutting lines etc?

bleed isn't unique to business cards, it can apply to any printed medium. stand practice is to set 1/8" outside the canvas area.

Number one thing to consider for business cards... how many colors you want to print. The more colors, the higher the cost. Consider that if you are printing a lot.

^ true, but it's how many inks not how many colours. you can print a solid blue, but if you use all cmyk you're paying for full colour printing - unless you use pms colours.
