Why not SEF urls?
Well, search engine friendly URLS help with organic traffic and such - so why not make the move here? Upgrade to vB 4 and do it.

I've been wondering why we don't have search engine friendly URL's since I became a member here. It's a good idea and makes the links much more readable.

Why not just do it? What's stopping you?

I'd rather it be properly upgraded and integrated, and wouldn't it look just ugly as default theme?

I still think moving away from vBulletin to be the best solution.
vBulletin is expansive but we don't need at least half the features we're currently running.

vanilla. bbpress. punBB.
Why are we using vBulletin? What functionality is it we want from it? If it's all admin panel stuff you're missing the point completely.
