PSD to CSS in less than 30 seconds
So as I surf the web as I always do to discover things I did not know, i came across this site

That site will explains all about converting your design into simple to use CSS design.
I hope my find will serve the community well.

It's a shame that the CSS is awful. It's easier in the long run to code it yourself, you'll come across less issues later on in development.
Thanks for sharing though, I'm sure some members may find this useful.

That's a great way to convert your design into html/css quickly; providing quality, optimization and cross-browser compatibility are of no concern to you. The markup you get from converting your design via that method is horrific.

Yeah, well for some people who don't know anything about using css to design the site, can maybe learn from it. As to me, i'd rather pay than doing it myself

I would recommend it for those designers who aren't looking to learn, but need a quick fix. For example, if they need to show a client some form of a coded mock-up prior to coding it properly or having a professional coder do it for them.
The problem with learning from the code that is generated the '30 second way' is that people are going to learn the things you should NOT do and probably end up replicating those things in their own work.

pretty much, i would also rather learn it on my own and do it manually from start to beginning, as someone said, it's better in the long run.

It's actually not that hard to do it CSS style...takes time...when I first started CSS... I did it the dummie way... randomly picking each line in CSS style sheets and alter it/preview it back and forth to see what did I DO to make WHAT change. As time goes by...you start picking it up easily. I don't recommend it to everyone but that was just MY method back then. So basically, I taught myself and saved HUNDREDS of dollars by doing all the CSS coding I do for my clients.

To be honest ive seen this method before. You end up with slow code, as adobe isnt too good at using repeating backgrounds i found. Also, its shoddy coding in general. Its kinda like using dreamweaver's inbuilt php functions, good for newbs, wouldnt be used in a working domain.

It's a shame to see web sites that say that they can convert psd to css in 30s.
This is totally wrong, by writing the article newbies will soon find out it's simply not worth it.
Besides the absolute positioning and very ugly and big code, you can't position the design to the center.

I am a complete newbie to this, so I will give it a try. Thanks for the link. Maybe it will be my first wrong step to learn coding, but we learn from mistakes, don't we?
