Where to advertise a Freelance service?
This question may sound a bit stupid, as in all likelyhood, the answer is staring me directly in the face in the form of the 468x60 ad space immediately above this form, but where are some good places to advertise a freelance service? Furthermore, what are some good overall strategies to do so? I'm trying to avoid spamming....
Thanks.
Dave

Correct, this place would be ideal to market your services (we recieve 1,000 uniques daily) and currently hold top positions for keywords "freelance" and "freelance design" in several search engines.
Ok but enough of me plugging! I would suggest either webdesign/freelance related sites, posting in forums like this one or investing your money into google adwords.

'Word of mouth' is the best advertising you'll ever have. It does take a while to get to the stage where you don't need to advertise though!

I wish I was in the position to purchase this second -- I definitely like that 2nd rate
I'll be in touch in 2-3 weeks.
Thanks a ton!

get a business card with your info on it, ang plug it wherervere you go. meet a girl at a bar, ask her if you can give her your number and hand her one of those bad boys. bring it up in converation - when you can relate it.
