Why do I get the feeling that you're just plugging your site?

To answer your question (for whomever might not know): Submitting your URL let's the search engines index your site.

It's useless. You no longer have to submit your website to any search engine, the spiders will find it regardless.

You're submitting your URL to the search engine to have your site indexed. Otherwise there is no need to do it at all. I think you want it to be visited very often and if the bot doesn't index it your PR will be 0 and it means your site isn't popular and your site traffic is little and it's not good for your business.

There'
s no need to submit, just get links from indexed pages, it's always better, 'cause it gives you PR weight.

Does it take more time to be indexed?
