Not at all into game consoles, last one I had was a Nintendo 64. Although, $479 looks very cheap compared to the other console prices I've seen around lately.

Yea my mate was talking about them today, they seem pretty sweet.
What are the differences between the Elite and the standard 360 - appart from it being black and having a 120BG hard drive.
Are the graphics any better?

I saw it quite some time ago when it was only in the rumor stages. I was going to get a 360 shortly before seeing the rumors, so I decided to wait it out in case they were true, which they are. I do plan on getting the 360 Elite should I be able to due to the limited quantities.

The Elite basically the same 360, with HDMI port&cable + black + 120gb. Nothing else is different.

I'm not going to get the Elite version. I have a hatred for the words elite, leet, 1337, etc. (that probably came from the Bnet kiddies on Diablo 2 or possibly from Counter strike). The HDMI port/black color isn't enough for me to buy a new 360. If I want the 120gb HD it is also available by itself.

Huh this is Microsoft's response to the Playstation 3 lol, who needs 120gb for game saves anyway, dont think its worth it, get a normal 360 or ps3. Just my 2 cents

It isn't for "game-saves" if you haven't read, theres a Marketplace with movies, tv shows, demos, pictures, and much much more.

MS realizes that the Internet is probably the most widely accessible medium, which is why it's beefing up its online marketplace and why it won't bother to release 360s with built-in HD-DVD players. While you could say that Sony is winning the format war (based on the number of Blu-ray and HD-DVD sales), Microsoft is really thinking ahead of the game and investing its time and efforts in the right areas.
