buy adobe cs3 master?
I'm getting into freelancing with some graphic design and writing. I need to by adobe CS3 and am contemplating whether to purchase the design premium or the master collection. Any thoughts?

You could probably pick up a second hand CS2/3 from Ebay or other freelancing sites.
It depends what you're going to be doing though, get the package with the programs you KNOW you're going to use.

I would go with CS2, you can pick it up pretty cheap now. I have Flash CS3 and I'm not a huge fan of it so far, it just seems to be very slow compared to my Flash 8 I was using.

Do you run Mac OSX or Windows?
I have the Design collection and I like it a lot. I'm starting to use other programs that are cheaper and just as good if not better besides Photoshop. That will be the one Adobe product I think I will use for a long time.

When comparing one to other versions, dont ask "how many new features are there", ask "what features will make my designing easier and compensate the additional price". Because what good are a bunch of useless features you will never use? Now if CS3 will make your designing more efficient, by all means do buy it.
