I've seen this quite a few times now! Its amazing, no doubt about it - but i think theres better that i've seen.

ya this guy (now guys i believe) have been around since around 1999 i think. maybe a bit earlier. pretty much, every designer has copied them since then. probably one of the most copied sites out there (some of their previous versions)

I don't know, I think there is very little "advanced" about thier website. This of course is retrospective to their own past work, their old sites look similiar in style. So many people copied their style its a bit stale for me now.

It does get very irritating after a while. When you're waiting for it to do all its fancy stuff, when really all you want to do is skim through their website. Nonetheless, it's fairly impressive stuff. I just question the modern day notion of eye candy over usability, most games use the identical concept and they become tedious exceedingly quickly. You only have to look at Counter-Strike to realise what prevails. Although with saying that, WoW seems to have lasted a long time, albeit I've never played it, so I can't comment personally there.
