Vortex Web Studios
This is the design I came up with for Vortex Web Studios. Feedback please, I wanted to keep the design simple so that it would attract clients looking for such designs in their websites as well.

Hmm I like it, any idea why you made the nav smaller so it doesn't fit with the rest of the template?

Well I thought that if I made the nav smaller with spaces on either side it would help maybe make it stand out just a tiny bit more...it was just a design idea I was working on...

I can't say I completely like it because there is nothing that draws the eye. Everything on the page has equal contrast and equal amount of text, so I have no idea where to look first or what to look at next. In effect, it just looks like alphabet soup.
Organize it better and make a focus point in the design.

alphabet soup lol or even alphabetti spaghetti heh heh
Layout looks clean, but like what EEight said, there is no focal point to get your attention. Try to add a few free to use icons for eye candy and a logo etc.

EEight, although sometimes a little harsh, I really must stress how much I love reading your comments. Each one so original and enthusiastic :$

Lol, I took a look at those tutorials before creating the site, but never really followed any of it - just got some of the ideas etc. from it...plus I did this design when I didn't know what 'original' meant lol!
