Old  Elance.com Vs. Guru.com--which do you prefer?

I'm brand new to the board (hey everyone!), and looking at signing up for some online help, as I could really use some projects. (I'm mostly a print designer in the midwest...looking for more work, preferably in the print medium, preferably in a telecommute manner).

Wondering who uses which, and what your experiences have been like with either page? Are there other online bid areas for projects that you prefer over guru or elance? Is it easy to get work? Do you feel you get what you're being paid for? Are people stingey with their money? Is the work consistant? Does it take a while to build confidence in clients with no feedback?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
