Does anybody use Serif Page Plus X4 for graphics?

Hey all,

I am trying to get into the freelance graphic design world and have started using Serif Page Plus. Is this an incorrect software choice? Should I be using Photoshop or something else? Are all the files interchangeable? I really need some advice bad.
